    Week 1 and Week 2 of E-Learning (3/23/2020-4/5/2020)

    There is a Foods Bingo where students can select activity lesson plans to do each week. The goal is to submit 100 points per week. 

    There are attachments located on this weeksite and in the classroom.

    Week 3 of E-Learning (4/14/2020-4/19/2020)

    WE ARE HEADING TO ASIA!

    You have time to make up any bingo points you are missing. 

    Read: Foods east, south, and southeast Asia reading material. You can print off the graphic organizer to take notes as you read. 

    Look at the "Foods east, south, and southeast Asia directions word document". 

    Use the "Foods, east, south, and southeast Asia worksheet" to answer the questions and complete your assignment due for the week. 

    Next week will be an Asian cooking lab assignment. 

     

    Week 4- E-Learning (4/20/2020-4/26/2020)

    You will need to make an Asian dish and document you making it through a PowerPoint or Photos. 

    Please see the attachment labeled Week 4- Asian Dish to get the directions for the assignment. 

    This will be worth 50 pts. (the same as a lab)

    Week 5- E-Learning (4/27/2020- 5/3/2020)

    This will be a make up week. If you have any assignment that you need to turn in, please do so this week. 

    If you have all of your assignments turned in and completed then you have nothing due this week. 

     

    Competition

    This would've been our Global Trek competition week. 

    I would like you to have an opportunity to have some fun with a food competition. 

    Pick a dish from another country. Cook it, plate it and write a brief description on where it comes from and what is the dish. 

    I will submit the photos to the teachers to vote. 

    A winner will be announced the week of May 4th. 

    This is not a graded assignment, it is just for fun! 

     

    Seniors: You should have received an email with your final assignment. You do not have to complete week 6 and week 7 assignments since you have your assignment that is due by May 15th.  

     

    Week 6- E-Learning (5/4/2020-5/10/2020)

    We are going to Latin America!

    5/5/2020 is Cinco De Mayo. This annual Mexican celebration is to oberve the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle ofPuebia, on May 5, 1862. Some of you may observe it as "Taco Tuesday". 

    We have a short assignment this week. Pull up the PowerPoint labeled "Latin America". Read slides 4-12. 

    Make ANY Mexican inspired dish, take a photo of it and email it to Mrs. Bellard, rbellard@jmk12.org  (30 points)

    If you have any issues with making a dish, please email me for an alternative assignment. 

     

    Week 7- E-Learning (5/11/2020- 5/17/2020)

    We are at the end of the class. 

    Your last assignment is to fill out a reflection form for 20 points.
