Periods 1/2 and 7/8: There is no activity this week, so just keep up with the reading, and be ready to take the quiz on Edmodo on Chapters 10-14. If you would like me to send you a copy of the activity that I am having Period 5/6 do, it would be an "extra" for you; however, many of you would like it because it has to do with some of your favorite subjects such as art. :) Please feel free to email me that you may be interested in doing the activity. It would be just for fun! It involves choosing something to do with ART, SCIENCE, COOKING, or SURVIVAL, so it may be something you will want to do! :)
All Classes: Take the quiz for Chapters 10-14 on Edmodo that will be posted on Wednesday. The quiz will be due Sunday, May 3rd.
Period 5/6: Do the assignment CLICK HERE---> CHOICE MENU, in which you choose ONE activity out of a bunch, which will have to do with interdisciplinary discovery. You are going to have to email me ON MONDAY WHAT GROUP YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE IN so that I can put you in a group with others with whom you feel comfortable with presenting your choice activity. I will be putting people in different groups on Edmodo starting Tuesday, so please email me with a list of your favorite friends in the class by Monday at midnight and INCLUDE YOUR CHOICE of what you would like to do for your project as well. If I don't hear from you by Tuesday, I will just put you in a group and tell you what choice you're doing. The purpose of the group is so that you can "present" to each other on Friday. Note: I will try to put you in a group with at least one person on your list of friends.
Check out Edmodo to get the Zoom invite and meet for about 30 minutes to discuss Ch. 10-14 on Friday.
Period 1/2 at 1:00 on Friday, May 1st
Period 7/8 at 1:30
Period 5/6 at 2:00
I will post the link on Edmodo, and a phone number you can call if you want to use a phone. There will be a "Meeting ID" and a password that you'll need to enter into your phone or computer. Also, there is third way to get on a Zoom meeting, and that is by downloading the app, Zoom. We will be discussing chapters 10-14 of The Hunger Games. It will be a shorter meeting, and will only take about 30 minutes, but if you need to enter the Zoom meeting late or leave early, that is quite alright.
As always, feel free to email me if you are having any difficulties. All assignments this week are due Friday. Do not wait until the last minute to read all five chapters, however, because that will be about 60 pages to read in one day, plus take a quiz. Procrastinators, please pace yourselves. To have an easy time of it, start your reading on Monday!
Hope you have a wonderful week! Enjoy The Hunger Games!!!!
:) Mrs. Dennis
